Oct 8th, Sat- Level 1 training for community volunteers, teachers, parents. Learn how to play and how to run chess clubs. Belmopan. Open to all districts. 8:30-2:30, Belmopan Hotel
Oct 14/15th, Fri and Sat- training for players, follow up on the summer training, Orange Walk and Corozal
Oct 21st, Friday- Level 2 training- continuation from Oct 8th training.
Oct 29th, Sat- Toledo and Stann Creek Halloween Tournament, PG, Toledo
Oct 29th, Sat- Cayo, Belize city, Orange Walk, Halloween Tournament, Belmopan
Nov 17th, Thu- Grand Master Maurice Ashley arrives to Belize as part of his Caribbean Tour. Details will be announced later.
Nov 26th, Sat - Stann Creek Tournament, Ecumenical College, Dangriga
Dec 10th, Sat- Holiday Season Nation Wide tournament, 15 players per district (strongest players), Belmopan
Dec 17th- Orange Walk Holiday tournament, Orange Walk
Dec Holidays school break-exact dates TBA- inter district overnight outings.

Jan 22, Sun- Family chess day, open to all districts, Belize city
Feb 18, Sat- Toledo District tournament- selection for the Olympiad
March 17th, Sat- Orange Walk District tournament- selection for the Olympiad
March 18th, Sunday, Belize District Tournament - selection for the Olympiad at ITVET building
March 24th, Sat- West Cayo District tournament- selection for the Olympiad
March 31, Sat- East Cayo District tournament- selection for the Olympiad
April 21, Corozal District Tournament - selection for Olympiad at Louisville R.C. School
April Easter vacation- prep camps for the Olympiad
May 19, Sat- NATION WIDE CHESS OLYMPIAD 2012, UB Gym, Belmopan

All the events after the Olympiad will be added at a later date. To register for any events, contact your district representatives. All tournaments require pre-registration from the district coordinators.

It was a day of fun, music, imagination and chess!

Grand Master Maurice Ashley arrived this time to Belize specially for the Chess Olympiad and a lot of spectators through the whole country had a chance to hear his commentary live on TV!
