Oct 27- OW district Halloween tournament, Muffles college, up to 10 outside the district players
Oct 27- St Creek ad Toledo- Halloween tournament
Nov 17th Training for Belize District teachers

Nov 24- Toledo Family Chess Day, Colombia, Toledo
Nov 24- BCF National Championship, 15 and older with rating above 1000 can play
Dec 1- Stann Creek holiday tournament
Dec 8 - national Holiday tournament ( 12 students and 3 adults per district), Belmopan
Dec - local district tournaments
Dec 17-21-Toledo visit Corozal for exchange, 25 players
Dec 18th to 20th West Cayo, Hode's place chess and art.

Feb 16 - Toledo Qualification tournament for Olympiad 2013 at Julian Cho Technical High School gym.
Feb 23rd Stann Creek Qualification tournament for Olympiad 2013 at Stann Creek Ecumenical.
March 3^rd Belize District Qualification Tournament for Olympiad 2013
March 16th Orange Walk District Qualification Tournament for Olympiad 2013 at Muffles college 
March 16th West Cayo District Qualification Tournament for Olympiad at Hode's Place.
March 23-27th- Toledo Easter Camp- prep for Olympiad
March 23rd- East Cayo Qualification tournament, Belmopan
April 20th Corozal District Qualification tournament for Olympiad 2013
May 11th- SIXTH ANNUAL NATIONAL CHESS OLYMPIAD, UB Gym, Belmopan

Chess Olympiad 2011- May 21, 2011

It was a day of fun, music, imagination and chess!

Grand Master Maurice Ashley arrived this time to Belize specially for the Chess Olympiad and a lot of spectators through the whole country had a chance to hear his commentary live on TV!

Grand Master Maurice Ashley is known in Belize not only for his chess skills, but also for being a living proof that "Strong mind needs a strong body". During the week that he worked with us at Sibun, he was a great inspiration for our players and coaches.
